Adam Cohen

Director

Adam specializes in advising government ministries on designing and delivering impactful communications to achieve strategic policy objectives. He has worked internationally throughout his career, leveraging his specialization in media relations, crisis communications and social and behavioral change, to support the delivery of major government initiatives and events.

Adam has worked across varied policy areas in support of government communications objectives, including foreign policy, public health, migration, education, infrastructure development, trade and investment promotion, and in support of mega events.

Before joining GTG, Adam worked for the UK Cabinet Office and Office of the Prime Minister, where he served as Head of Strategic Communications for projects in Africa. During this time, Adam supported risk communications pillar of the Nigerian Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 and designed impactful social and behavioural change campaigns to counter human trafficking of young women and to promote girl’s education in Nigeria.

Adam has also served as a seconded strategic communications advisor to the Government of Indonesia during its presidency of the G20, advised on crisis communications at the Expo 2020 Dubai, and provided communications advisory to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC).

Adam has a strong background in media relations, having worked at Portland Communications, Hanover Communications and having managed the press office of Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs.

Adam holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, and a BA in French and Politics from University College London (UCL). He speaks English, French and Portuguese.
